God's Assurance..

We have all been in different circumstances but the same dilemma. How can we hear God clearly and know it is His voice,or the enemy's or from the voice of our own ego.
The more acquainted you become with God,the more clearly you will identify His Word. His tone is love while the accuser's is guilt and condemnation.God's voice is peace while the enemy's is fear and chaos.
Another characteristic of God's voice is truthfulness. He cannot and will never lie.His spoken word will never contradict His character revealed in His written Word.He will never cause you to sin, steer you outside His will,or encourage you to cover your sin.
Every message the Spirit delivers comes straight from the God of Truth.Only the Holy Spirit has direct access to God's thoughts. He lives in you and desires to share these revelations with those who will listen.
John 16:3 When He,the Spirit of truth comes,He will guide into all the truth;for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears,He will speak;and he will disclose to you what is to come.
Whatever decisions we decide to take,we must filter it through the truth of God.His word is truth and when his Spirit speaks,He will only speak truth.
God's assurance accompanies His truth. When He speaks,He will do everything He says. His promises are not empty. When we choose to rely on God's standards over our own and follow His leading in obedience,we will see the glorious results that only come when we rely on the truth and righteous standard of God.
The more acquainted we are with God's word, the more accurately we will be able to hear Him.In a world singed with sin and pride,it is difficult to be certain when God is speaking. However, since the Word of God provides the framework into which His messages to us will fall and is in itself the chief means through which He speaks,we can be certain to hear God most clearly when we remain consistent in our study on and meditation on His word.
