Overcoming Weakness.

All of us have inherent weaknesses that make us vulnerable to particular kinds of sin.We must accept responsibility for our own evil desires and guard against them.Temptations does not always exist outside ourselves. Some of it is always with us.
James 1:14-16 from the New American Standard Bible (NASB)reads as,14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
Part of taking responsibility for our own evil desire is to identify and avoid locations, situations,or people that trigger temptation. It is essential that we know our weaknesses and ourselves well enough to know what simply is a waste of time.
God has set out clear moral laws in His Word. They are mentioned in the Ten Commandments and expounded on throughout the Bible.Anyone who has tried to follow them learns quickly that to do so is humanly impossible. This realization however is meant to lead us to Christ, who not only kept the law,but is himself the embodiment of the law.Through Him we are aligned with God's code of moral conduct.2Corinthians 5:9 says, So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
We must nevertheless continually aim to please God in our conduct.
