Peace is a gift invested in us by the Holy Spirit.

"These things have I spoken to you that in me you may have peace.John 16:33".Before the death of Jesus,He comforted His disciples by telling them though he was going to be gone,He would leave His peace with them. His peace would serve as an internal meachanism by which we can know God's voice.
Peace is a gift accompanied with salvation. It is one of the greatest blessing and investment from our Father to His children. It is one of the names of the Holy spirit that depicts His character.
"The Lord lift up His countenance on you ,and give you peace.Numbers 6:26".He is Jehovah Shalom-the God of Peace. The definition of peace in the Greek language means, exempt from rage and havoc of war,to be at rest and quietness. In other words it means peace between individuals.Jesus wanted this kind of peace to exist internally and externally. The Holy Spirt lives within us to give us a continually peaceful assurance that helps us make decisions that honor the Lord and guides out relationships with others.
God's word will always be accompanied with a sense of assurance and peace.Even when we are doing something which we think seems impossible,His peace will accompanyy our actions if it is His will.We may not feel confident in our own ability, but we can grow in confidence in His.
God graciously grants us His peace so He can demonstrate His supernatural activity in our lives. We may feel ill-equipped to handle many things God calls us to do,but when we sense His peace He encourages us to step out in obedience. When we obey,we will experience His supernatural power operating through us to do it.We also experience internal tranquility. When we step outside the will of God,we feel uneasy. Our God given peace will not be lost;but if something is not pleasing to God,peace will not rule.
